A four-month-old baby girl tragically died after her mother lay on top of her while heavily drunk.
Emergency services were called to the address in Grosvenor Road, Walton , after worried lodgers discovered the baby’s lifeless body on a settee.
Despite the efforts of paramedics, the little girl was pronounced dead at Alder Hey childrens’ hospitalshortly afterwards.

[BREAKING NEWS] Patrick Crusius was identified as the suspect in the shooting at Walmart near Cielo Vista Mall in El Paso, Texas by the Washington Examiner. Crusius, 21, is from the Dallas/Fort Worth area.
BC News reports there were at least 19 people killed in the shooting with a further 40 injured. The exact number of injuries and deceased victims has not been officially confirmed.
Police scanner traffic from the area suggested that Crusius was taken into custody at around noon local time. The shooting began at around 10 a.m., officials said. The FBI and ATF responded to the scene, alongside the El Paso Police Department.

The 22-year-old granddaughter of Robert F. Kennedy died Thursday at the Kennedy compound in Hyannisport, Mass., the family said in a statement.
The woman, identified by the family as Saoirse Kennedy Hill, was the daughter of Courtney Kennedy Hill, the fifth of 11 children born to the late New York senator and wife Ethel, The New York Times reported.
Hyannis Fire Capt. Greg Dardia told Fox News Police that paramedics responded to a medical call at 28 Marchant Avenue at around 2:30 p.m. Hill was taken to Cape Cod Hospital in an unknown condition. It is not clear whether she died at the hospital or at the property.
Boston 25 News, citing a law enforcement source, reported that Hill died from a suspected drug overdose.
