WISN 12 News spoke to the man, Calmonta Harris, who chased after the robber.
Harris said he was there getting gas and his sister was working inside the Speedway when it happened. He said his sister ran out screaming and crying.
“[My sister] said, ‘Brother, brother, the man just robbed me. The man just robbed me.’ I said, ‘What man?’ She said, ‘The man right there,'” Harris said. “The man was running across the street, so I got in my car and chased him.”
The video shows Harris hit the man with his car.
Harris then gets out of the car, beats the man with his fists and drags him. The video shows Harris then go back to his car, pull out a tool, and strike the robber with it, all while demanding to see the robber’s gun he implied he had.
MOUNT DORA, Fla. — A 92-year-old woman who was carjacked outside of a Florida store Friday didn’t go without a fight.
Officials with the Mount Dora Police Department said the woman was putting shopping bags and birthday balloons in her car Friday at a Dollar Tree in Mount Dora, Florida, when a man, later identified as 19-year-old De’Angelo McKnight, asked for money and then demanded her keys.
But he didn’t get away before she kicked him “where it really hurts.”
“So you kicked him in the groin?” a reporter asked her.
The only details police have on the suspects are they were young black men.
HOUSTON — Houston police have released surveillance video of a violent carjacking that happened in August with hopes someone can identify the suspects responsible.
The carjacking happened Aug. 4 at a man’s home near Alief.
Police said the man had just made it to his home in the 11900 block of Longbrook and attempted to get out of his vehicle when an unknown suspect, who appeared to be casually walking on the street, ran to the driver’s side door with a gun.
WINSTON-SALEM, N.C. — Police are searching for a suspect after an armed robbery at a Winston-Salem business, according to a news release. The robbery was reported at 11:39 p.m. Wednesday. Store employees said the robber walked into the business and pointed a handgun at the clerk.
