Discovering the real Vanuatu

There’s a roughness to Vanuatu that is easily offset by the friendliness of the people.

It’s all so ridiculously picture perfect that I’m quite overwhelmed. The lush green Vanuatu jungle vines drip and fall from the trees, drawing our eyes straight down to a series of deep blue-green rock pools about 50 metres below.

They’re linked by limestone boulders rounded by water rippling and gurgling towards the lower levels. I’m still gawping when Vanuatu Eco-Tours manager, Marc Giraud, walks over to me and inclines his head in silent query.
