NEW YORK (CBSNewYork) — Police are searching for three suspects who were allegedly involved in a gunfight in the Bronx.
It happened just before 7:30 p.m. Thursday near East 219th Street and White Plains Road in Williamsbridge.
NEW YORK (CBSNewYork) — New video has been released showing the suspect accused in a brutal stabbing on a Brooklyn subway platform.
Police say it happened around 2 p.m. Friday on a 3 train platform at the Utica Avenue station in Crown Heights.
The suspect allegedly approached the 23-year-old woman and showed her a knife. That’s when police say she stabbed the woman twice in the arm and once in the stomach before taking off.
Surveillance video shows the suspect, still holding a knife, walking through the turnstiles and out of the station.
A man spat twice in the face of a fellow straphanger as the doors of a subway car closed at 34th Street in Manhattan, thinking he was in the clear because his target was still on the train, video shows.
But his target was able to pry the doors back open — and ran out onto the platform and pummeled him unconscious, according to the footage, which was posted on Reddit.
“He’s livid! It’s over!” the person filming the clash can be heard saying of the spat-on man.
As other riders ran to break up the fight, the gleeful phone-cameraman advised them to lay off.
“Nah, nah! He spit in his face!” he said.
Police say a 23-year-old woman and another woman got into an argument on a subway platform at the Utica Avenue station.
The 23-year-old woman was stabbed several times in the abdomen.
Police are searching for the alleged stabber. She is described as 5 feet 6 inches tall with dreadlocks that have blonde tips. She was wearing cheetah-print leggings at the time of the incident.
A 43-year-old man who was also involved in the incident was arrested.
There are delays and changes for 2, 3, 4, 5 and 6 trains while police investigate.
NEW YORK (FOX 5 NY) – A New York City art gallery owner says he was viciously beaten in Manhattan by a large group of teens for wearing a “Make America Great Again” hat.
Jahangir “John” Turan, 42, says it happened Tuesday evening on Canal Street. He was wearing the MAGA hat that he had purchased earlier in the day at Trump Tower.
“I love President Trump. I think he’s doing a great job,” Turan said.
QUEENS (WABC) — A woman in Queens experienced a real-life nightmare.
It happened Saturday in front of 24th Street and 23rd Avenue around 2:50 a.m.
She told police she was approached by a man who said he’d been in a bike accident and needed help.
During the interaction he touched her breasts. She ran to her nearby home.
Later that morning, she woke up inside her bedroom to find the man standing over her.
Police are searching for the man who is described as Hispanic, approximately 30 years old, weighing 180 lbs, 5’8″ tall with close-cut short dark hair. He was last seen wearing a black t-shirt.
BROWNSVILLE, Brooklyn (WABC) — Eyewitness News has obtained extraordinary body-worn camera footage of NYPD officers chasing down a shooting suspect in Brooklyn earlier this summer.
Late at night on Fathers Day, officers in the in the 73rd Precinct had already responded to an unruly house party at Howard Avenue and Sterling Place in the Brownsville Section.
As they worked to clear the crowd, police say 31-year-old Kassin Appling fired nearly a dozen shots, jumped in a car and fled.
Officers Vincent Hartenfels and Sunjay Verma jumped into their patrol car and chased Appling — Verma’s body-worn camera recording the entire dramatic encounter.
Eventually, Appling ditched his car near the Albany Houses on East New York Avenue, where the two officers chased him down and arrested him.
Police in the upstate New York city of Rome are searching for the body of a woman they believe was killed by her estranged husband and then placed in a dumpster.
Rome police say Jason D’Avolio is being questioned in the death of 32-year-old Kerrilee D’Avolio.
Lt. James Boyer tells the Rome Sentinel D’Avolio is believed to have killed Kerrilee either Sunday night or Monday morning and then disposed of her body in a dumpster.
BROWNSVILLE, Brooklyn — One person was killed and 11 others were injured in a Saturday shooting at a Brooklyn park, but it could have been worse if not for one of the victim’s bra straps.
Daniesa Murdaugh, 21, was one of thousands at the annual Old Timers Event when gunfire erupted. She said her bra strap stopped a bullet from piercing her spine.
“I believe God covered my baby,” Murdaugh’s mother said. “When EMS had cut her bra strap off, the bullet was just sitting on her bra strap.”

Well done!”A man walked inside a Brooklyn police precinct with a knife in his hand on Sunday morning — and surveillance video showed the entire confrontation unfold.
The 26-year-old man entered the precinct on 1000 Sutter Avenue in East New York at about 8:30 a.m. carrying a large knife.
Two other people in the waiting room notice the knive and quickly walk away, the video shows.
