Four men were killed and three others seriously injured in a shooting on Utica Avenue in Brooklyn early Saturday, authorities said.
The shooting unfolded just before 7 a.m. at what is believed to be an after hours club called Triple A Aces, a source said.
The club bills itself as a “private and social rental space.”
Four men were pronounced dead at the scene, police said.
CHINATOWN, Manhattan (WABC) — Four men are dead and one was critically injured after being attacked by a man wielding a metal object in Manhattan, police said.
Police said a 24-year-old man is in custody after the murderous crime spree in Chinatown early Saturday morning.
Some of the victims were killed as they slept on the street. The victims and the attacker are believed to be homeless.
Police responded to reports of a dispute at Doyers Street and Bowery around 2:10 a.m. and found two men with head wounds. One, a 60-year-old man, was pronounced dead at the scene and another, a 49-year-old man, was taken to the hospital in critical condition.
Over the next hour, police discovered additional victims in the area: Two men were found outside of 2 East Broadway, and another was found outside of 17 East Broadway.
Two good Samaritans are being praised for helping a young girl to safety after her apparently suicidal father jumped in front of a moving New York City subway train while holding onto her. Dramatic cell phone video captured the rescue, after the girl survived and crawled to safety from underneath the train.
HARLEM, Manhattan (WABC) — Surveillance video shows 2 people moving a carpet that apparently contained a body in Harlem during the overnight hours on Thursday morning.
The employee rushed to the building next door and alerted the doorman, who called 911.
“I was on my way to school and was coming up the block and saw all the cops and ambulances,” witness Christopher Brown said. “It was crazy. I know the Starbucks workers were all standing there in shock.”
Authorities said the man, identified as 27-year-old Anthony Lewis, Anthony, was fully clothed and may have had wounds to his head.

A tractor trailer driving through the New York City borough of Queens left a trail of destruction as the driver had trouble maneuvering around a parked car.
A passerby caught the incident on his phone and observed (with a schadenfreude-laden narration) as the large 18-wheeler ripped a welt into the vehicle and also knocked out a fire hydrant in the process.
NEW YORK (CBSNewYork) – A Manhattan child recovering after police say a homeless man randomly attacked him. It happened while he was out with his grandmother on the west side.
The child, 7-year-old Yaromir Potapova, still smiles big but a closer look shows he’s missing one of his two adult front teeth, reports CBS2’s Andrea Grymes.
She says last Wednesday morning Yaromir was riding his scooter with his little sister and grandmother on the West Side Highway near 52nd Street.
“A guy jumped out of a bench, hit him in the face,” said Valeriya. “He didn’t say anything, just hit him in the face and walk away.”
Police say witnesses saw it, and a state trooper nearby tussled with the suspect, identified as 67-year-old Ryan Fran, before arresting him.
“It shouldn’t be like this, people with mental issues shouldn’t walk outside,” said Valeriya. “We might be lucky because he didn’t have a knife, he didn’t hit him with a rock. He didn’t kill him.”
