INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. – A family on the south side is mourning the loss of their loved one after they say he was shot and killed on Friday night while out celebrating his bachelor party.
Shanon Singer-Mann should be helping her sister plan her wedding. Instead, she’s helping her plan a funeral.
“They had yelled out, ‘This guy has got a gun. Call the cops, this guy has got a gun.’ When they did that, my brother-in-law jumped up and tried to charge the guy to try and keep him from doing anything,” according to Singer-Mann.
Singer-Mann believes Christopher’s actions saved others at the pub that night.
“He’s one of the most selfless men I’ve ever met,” Singer-Mann said. “And I really believe him taking those bullets and getting shot and killed was his one last selfless act before he went home to be with God.”
An Indiana teen was shot and killed by a back-seat passenger with an AR-15 style rifle in her own car while she was driving, police said.

MARION, Ind. — Loved ones are mourning the loss of 19-year-old Annalysa McMillan, who was shot and killed while in the driver seat of her car. McMillan’s death comes five days after she turned 19.
Marion police say McMillan was driving at the intersection of Mason Boulevard and Baldwin Avenue in Marion Tuesday afternoon when she was shot in the back. She later died from her injuries.
Police have preliminarily charged 22-year-old Austin Smith with reckless homicide for her death.
They say Smith was in possession of an assault style riffle and was sitting in the back seat behind McMillan when it went off.
FLOYD KNOBS, Ind. — Amazon’s Alexa is supposed to make life easier for its users, but that was not the case for 5-year-old Daisy, who came running out of her bedroom, crying to her mother after Alexa allegedly “yelled” at her for requesting a Taylor Swift song.
Lauren, Daisy’s mother, was shocked when her daughter came running into the living room with “her fingers in her ears, freaking the heck out, scared to death,” she told Storyful.
Although initially concerned, Lauren told Storyful she “turned the camera on when I found out that it was Alexa that was bullying her.”

MUNCIE, Ind. (WISH) — The mayor of Muncie has been arrested by FBI agents.
Mayor Dennis Tyler was taken into custody on Monday morning. An unsealed indictment reveals he faces one count of theft of government funds.
The indictment states that Tyler accepted $5,000 from Tracy Barton via an unnamed third party in exchange for awarding contracts to that person’s business.
Tyler, a Democrat, has served as the mayor of Muncie since 2012. He did not run for reelection this year. Beginning in 2006, he became a state representative and served the Muncie area for six years. He served on committees that focused on veteran’s affairs, public safety, employment labor, pensions, roads and transportation, autism, people with disabilities, and government reform.
