VOLUSIA COUNTY, Fla. – A Volusia County man triggered a standoff in DeLand on Sunday afternoon after deputies said he pointed guns at them.
“He was screaming at them, like, really couldn’t make out what he was saying because the glass was down, the window was shut. And then, he retreated back in, and we made it a barricaded situation and brought the resources out,” Chitwood said.
According to deputies, the call had been for a woman whose boyfriend was refusing to let her back into the home. She had left last night after the two got into a fight.

They said Deputy Richard Palmer spotted a car running a stop sign on Nancy Drive in Paisley. That is when Palmer is seen on video pulling her over.
The video shows the driver, 54-year-old Robin Pearson, getting out of her car with her hands up, and that is when she appeared to be shot by Palmer.
A 25-year-old man was shot and killed inside his vehicle Friday morning in the parking of an apartment complex in Opa-locka, police said.
The victim was sitting inside his vehicle at around 11 a.m. at the Glorieta Gardens Apartments on Alexandria Drive when an unknown subject approached him and demanded his car, police said.
The victim refused to comply. When he attempted to drive away, he got shot and crashed into a wall. The subject ran away.

Siam Garden Thai Restaurant is located along Martin Luther King Jr. Street in St. Pete and was shut down by the state last week after inspectors discovered 38 violations including evidence of rodents defecating in the food.

TALLAHASSEE, Fla. – Multiple people were stabbed Wednesday morning at the Coca-Cola plant in Tallahassee, police said.
The Tallahassee Police Department said officers were called to the plant on Maryland Circle around 8:37 a.m. and found multiple stabbing victims.
The officers gave the victims immediate medical attention, and they were taken to a hospital. The extent of their injuries is not known yet.
