Ramadan 2019: Here’s all you need to know about Suhoor and Iftar meals

The meals consumed during fasting in Ramadan are called Suhoor and Iftar. Suhoor is eaten before sunrise and Iftar is eaten after the sunset.

Ramadan or Ramazan, the most holy month in the Islamic calendar, which began on 6th May this year. This month is all about fasting and feasting for the Muslims all across the globe. During this period, they observe fasts from sunrise to sunset. Fasting is one of the five pillars of Islam and is commonly called rozas. As per the Islamic tradition, this practice inculcates the spirit of abstinence from sins and is a time for self-purification. This fasting period is followed by the festival of Eid, which marks the end of Ramadan.
