Man causes chaos as he threatens mass shooting for not wanting to go with parents to LA Fair

The 22-year-old believed the threat would give him an excuse to not go to the fair, police said.

A 22-year-old California man was arrested after emailing a false threat of a mass shooting at the Los Angeles County Fair, police said.

Erik Villasenor sent the email to fair officials Friday afternoon, according to the Pomona Police Department.

Villasenor told police he sent the hoax email because he didn’t want to attend the fair with his parents, Pomona Police Chief Mike Olivieri Jr. said during a news conference Saturday.
