ENID, Okla. — An Oklahoma woman was shot in the leg after a dog jumped on a gun inside a pickup truck at a railroad crossing, police officials said.
“This is the first time I’ve ever heard of a dog shooting a woman,” said Sgt. Robert Norton, with Enid Police Department.
Officers were dispatched Thursday afternoon and spoke to the driver, who said they had stopped in the road due to a passing train at a railroad crossing.
A yellow Labrador retriever puppy named Molly reportedly was frightened by the passing train and jumped on the center console, causing his pistol to fire a round into his passenger’s thigh, according to reports.
